The excitement started 15 years ago when the Toledo Mud Hens baseball team moved its location to downtown Toledo. The “Warehouse District” was a booming place in the 1920’s and again in the 1960”s. There was pretty much nothing like the excitement of business or shopping activity in downtown Toledo! Dave and Linda Ball took over a former warehouse and renovated the building to make it one of the “hot spots” of downtown Toledo nightlife, pregame, and postgame “watering holes”. Add an exciting stage band in the middle of the establishment with outstanding nightly live entertainment and you have yourself a real winner!!

Julie Ketterman and KC Saint John are the General Manager and Assistant General Manager of this popular downtown establishment. Yesterday I enjoyed the pregame of Opening Day for the Toledo Mud Hens. It was packed and there was an awesome festive mood in the ait! The food is super and plenty of personable staff make the Durty Bird a great experience to enjoy for all four seasons in downtown Toledo!
