Holy Toledo I: Quiet Giant Systems

Toledo’s Answer to New Exciting Eateries, Popular Watering-holes, and Attractive Restaurants

  • MickeyFinns

There is a lot of stir around Toledo about a new group of investors/originators in the entertainment industry. Marketing new trend food attractions like “super grilled cheese’ sandwiches and “hot” entertainment venues like the best in Blue Grass and Celtic bands, has hit Toledo like a storm from Kansas!!!!

Jeff Sodd represents a group who has “done their homework” on great new popular attractions steamrolling Florida, the East Coast, and Chicago!!! Toledo locations on Lagrange Street, MICKEY FINNS, just off Summit Street downtown, HEADLINERS in West Toledo, and PADDY JACKS in Sylvania, are just a few of the top places Quiet Giant Systems has initiated some new and exciting venues in the entertainment and eatery industries around Toledo.

MICKEY FINNS is located just north of Downtown Toledo in the beautiful historic Vistula District at 602 Lagrange and the corner of North Huron Street. The original building was built between 1870 and 1875 by Ignatius Wernet and John Streicher. It began as a grocery, but the end of prohibition in the 1930’s “Bouton’s Cafe” received one of the first liquor licenses. Mickey Finn purchased the building and after massive refining the “old ambiances’ it was opened on St. Patty’s day 1998. My former professional photographer, and old buddy, Dave drank two of the first Guinness served that day!

HEADLINERS is a new entertainment venue on 4500 North Detroit Avenue in Toledo, Ohio 43612. Tub Ring, The Jamboree Music Festival, Throw it to Erie, Texas in July, and Every Time I Die, are just a few of the “headliners” who have performed in front of packed audiences.

PADDY JACKS, located on 6725 West Central Avenue 43617 is fast becoming one of the favorite places to pick up the hottest “old childhood choice” the grilled cheese sandwich. The new twist is you can stack just about anything and everything on the tasty “samich” as my brother (Marty Sutter) used to call it. I can still see him sitting in our kitchen eating the stack of Charlies Chips and a huge glass of chocolate milk--breakfast, lunch, and dinner!!! Pat Highland, from Cuffsboro, County Laois, Ireland has for over 17 years has been producing his wide range of distinctive cheeses. People around Dublin Ireland know “Paddy Jack” for the fine effort he puts in each of his delicacies!!! This passion for top quality cheeses has been adopted in each of the PADDY JACKS in the USA.

As you can see--shush---quiet giant systems is getting louder and louder in Toledo, Ohio!
